We'll ask the questions below because we want to know you - it’s important for us to feel that you will love & care for your puppy as much as we have!
.Have you ever had a Golden Retriever? We want you to be familiar with Goldens, to make sure that our puppy is compatible with your family’s lifestyle and activity level.
.Do you know how to care for a dog? We expect that puppy will be given regular vet care, will have proper vaccinations, and will be kept groomed and clean. Puppies should be lovingly & gently taught good behaviors as they grow, and should attend at least one series of obedience training classes.
.Where do you live? We want the puppy to be provided with adequate food, water, shelter, and a hazard-free play area, plus age-appropriate levels of daily exercise.
.What is your family's schedule? We want puppy’s family to have plenty of time to spend with him. Our preference is families with one person who stays at home, or have overlapping schedules, or situations where the puppy is not left alone for more than 4 hours. Leaving a sensitive breed pup alone for entire days can result in anxiety and separation issues.
.Have your children been around dogs? We want to meet your children, so we can see how they interact with the puppy and to make sure the kids and puppy both feel comfortable.
.What do you plan to feed your puppy? We want your puppy to be fed either a high-quality commercial dog food, a homemade diet or a raw diet, free from corn, wheat & other ingredients that can cause health problems. Always include fresh foods in puppy’s diet, throughout his life.
.Are you buying a dog for breeding? We recommend that each of our puppies is spayed or neutered between the ages of six months and nine months, when their growth plates have had time to mature. A limited registration means your puppy cannot be bred and registered with the AKC. Our puppies have a limited registration, unless otherwise arranged through us.
.What if you can't keep your dog? We want the puppy (or dog) the family purchases to come back to us if necessary. We extend lifetime responsibility to our puppies and will take dogs back into our home that a family can no longer care for.
9. Are you happy with your puppy? Above all, what we expect from a puppy buyer is that you love the little life you now have! We raise Goldens with a true love for our breed. Puppies are a joy; their antics will keep you amused for hours and they can make you smile all day long. As the puppy grows into a dog, it becomes your true champion and lifelong loyal companion. Priceless.
